Rent in Manhattan?
If the holiday bills are getting you down, here are signs for rental apartments that might help you appreciate your own circumstances.
We found these signs in Greenwich Village. A fun place to visit, “the Village,” on the west side of lower Manhattan, is considered the birthplace of the Beat movement and is now a mainly middle-class residential neighborhood with many clubs and restaurants–and expensive apartments that business people can afford.
So where do the young, talented, struggling artists go now? We’ve heard that sections of Pittsburgh and Detroit have growing arts scenes!
Count your blessings–and if you are an artist, don’t plan on living in the Village.
